About Us
Changing the world through smiles and circus, one magic trick at a time
Spoon Circus, a non-profit social circus, was founded with the vision of providing accessible education and fostering creative expression. As a neuro-divergent individual, Mckenna was inspired by supportive educators who guided her on her path as an educator. Early on, she realized that our education system lacked the adaptability needed to nurture confidence and curiosity. So, she made the decision to leave my teaching profession and embarked on a global journey.
It was in northern Thailand that Mckenna met Ryan Eason who lost his battle with mental health during the pandemic. At his memorial, Mckenna met his sister, Kati Eason. Their joint commitment to carrying on Ryan's legacy started the wheels in motion towards creating Spoon Circus aligned with the ethos of "the best way to get love, is to give love."
Since then, Mckenna with Kati Eason have developed the concept and began programming, already reaching over 400 participants. They have built an organizational structure and initiated fundraising to bring Spoon Circus to life, carrying on their inspirational friends legacy and spreading the joy of circus to all.
